  Your money isn't safe with US Bank! My brother had checks stolen out of his car and $9,000 of bad checks written against his account which overdrafted his account by $5,000. US Bank is saying he's liable for the checks because it is against their policy to keep checks in your car. Nowhere in their policies is this ever stated. Also, the signatures on the checks were totally different than his, and they claim they don't check signatures anymore and have no obligation to verify them. We've already spoken to a lawyer who assures us this is a violation of the law and we are going to sue them for the money, but it's ridiculous that they aren't refunding him the money immediately.
